Take a chance on sleeping with a dino

By MATT RULE/Montana State News

The Museum of the Rockies will offer a once in a lifetime chance to sleep with dinosaurs this coming Saturday night.

Raffle tickets will be handed out Saturday night at the Museum of the Rockies’ annual ball; get a winning ticket and you will be able to take part in the sleepover with dinosaurs, along with 15 other children and 10 adult chaperones.

The raffle ticket proceeds will be donated to the museum’s Opening Doors for Montana Schoolchildren program that gifts free admission and transportation stipends for schools throughout the state.

Along with sleeping with the dinosaurs, guests will be treated to a planetarium showing, laser show or movie screening and will be fed a healthy dinner and breakfast in the museum.

The opening doors program has raised nearly $250,000 and has “welcomed 50,000 schoolchildren” to the museum over the years, according to the museum’s website.

Guests attending the museum’s annual ball, with a winter wonderland theme, can expect cocktails, dinner, dancing to a live band and “a lively auction,” the museum announced.

The tickets start at $150, but unfortunately the benefit event is already sold out. However, people still interested in attending may check for last-minute availability by calling 994-1998. Raffle tickets can be purchased by calling that same number or by visiting the MOR website.
