TEDxBozeman returns with ‘Pioneer Spirit’

The third annual TEDxBozeman event will focus on a “Pioneer Spirit” theme through innovative ideas of modern day Montana pioneers and those of its past, according the organization’s website.

TED, is a national nonprofit organization that works to spread innovative ideas from world scholars and other experts, according to the website. With the stated goal of spreading knowledge, TEDx events are independently organized to create similar TED experiences in a local setting.

For those who have never attended a TEDx event, marketing official for TEDxBozeman Scott Kundert said that attendees should “expect an event which is an interactive, engaging, and compelling experience.”

The talks at TEDxBozeman will be specifically crafted to bring “a unique perspective to improving the Bozeman experience” said Kundert. “Over the course of an afternoon attendees will absorb content that will open their minds to new and exciting lines of thought.”

The event includes 13 live speeches from local specialists as well as TEDtalk videos. Speakers at TEDxBozeman include a wide range of ages, expertise, and knowledge.

Following the talks, attendees will be able to talk with the speakers to “bridge the gap between engagement and interaction.”  This event also includes dinner and a mixer.

TEDxBozeman will be held at The Commons on Friday, March 21. Ticket sales begin Feb. 7 at 12:05 a.m. For more information, visit www.TEDxBozeman.com
